After a week of spring break, with two short swim practices and regrettable digestive issues, I did my first practice back with Wave yesterday. Around 4000 pretty intense yards (intervals are a joke – I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten more than 3 seconds rest). I felt OK. Shoulders got pretty tired, but I feel much more recovered this morning than I did two weeks ago. Drinking salty water AND making sure I pee regularly seem to be helpful to my kidneys in clearing the detritus I’m creating. I felt better during the workout as well, with my shoulders holding me back a bit, but my aerobic fitness not at all.
