The Weekend
Had a pretty good time at the beach this past weekend, although I got stormed out on Sunday. But swam for about 3 hours on Saturday. It might be the universe protecting me again, as I am WHIPPED. I didn’t swim yesterday, just ran for 40 minutes. And I’m only planning an hour today. Yay recovery week.
I was thinking as I ran that it’s hard to believe how out of shape I got… when I was trying so hard to stay in shape. I just now am feeling kind of good again, and it seems tenuous. I really don’t have a good explanation.
Thursday 22 October
The quest to hold a faster freestyle pace continues. I’m all over the place this week, due to having ramped up yardage (and tetanus shot), but I’ve had some good sets in the 1:15 range.
Monday 2700 + Run
Tuesday 5000 + Yoga
Wednesday 5000 + Dryland (saints above, Katie Hoff and Matt Gravers!)
Thursday (plan) 5000 + Bike
Friday (plan) Pilates
Saturday (plan) 3 hour swim
Sunday (plan) 2 hour swim (stormed out)
Oh, and I did have the MD (well, NP) look at my shoulder. The bump has gotten smaller over the last two weeks and she said she couldn’t diagnose what HAD been wrong with it 🙂
