Getting Back in the Groove

Yet again, borrowing someone else’s GPS – thanks Bill! I will get my electronic act together… someday.

Had a great and beautiful swim at Falls Lake on Sunday. I don’t have much time to blog today, so I’ll let the video and pics speak for me 🙂

I will say – I got in 30,000 yards last week plus most of my cross-training. And that was with a tetanus shot from which I am still a bit sore. I feel good, but I am pretty tired. I’m trying to slow down this week and recover a bit. I should still get in 30,000, but that will include the beach on Saturday. And some pretty easy yardage.

Happy Birthday to me… spending it at the pool… which isn’t so bad 🙂 I’m taking the opportunity to try out my grand plan of swimming with Roy 1-2, having someone babysit me 2-3 (thanks Lynn!) and continuing until Wave kicks me out at 3:30 or 3:45. I was so tired yesterday that I almost called it off, and I’m still concerned that my food won’t last me, but I’m feeling good about it at 8:48 AM. My problem is that I feel good about everything at 8:48 AM.

I swam 2500ish on Monday, almost 5000 on Tuesday, 2800ish yesterday. If I can get in 7000 today and a recovery practice Friday, I’ll feel pretty good about the week. [Done!]

The plan is to swim at the lake Sunday morning – hopefully pics/video! [And done!]
