I forgot to mention on Friday that I swam 7000y with Wave on Thursday and realized it was the first time I have felt really recovered since Charleston. This came as a surprise to me, since I have done a lot of stuff since the swim – toured around Charleston, spread 20 cubic yards of mulch, planted plants, swum practices, run, biked on the trainer, swum miles and miles in increasingly cold water temperatures, and lifed in general. But none of it was at full pace, which apparently was hard to realize until I was able to full pace it again.
I was still not super fast on Thursday (still striving for 1:10 to seem like a comfortable pace to swim 100’s on 1:20), but I feel like that has more to do with how much distance training I’ve been doing. Speed will be a good thing to work on over the winter.
