We Made It!!!!!

I haven’t had a chance to post, but we are here, and all is well. As we were preparing to leave, I got a lot of questions about swimming the English Channel. Until I’ve had a chance to edit and post what I’ve written over the last week, this pretty much says it all:

A hilariously accurate representation of the challenge I’ll face. I’ve got four months to make it happen!

Thanks

I had a lot of people to thank as I was leaving – I hope that I was able to convey all of the appreciation I feel for everything that everyone has done for me. Swimming the Channel may be an individual effort, but there is no question that it requires a team to make it happen – thanks to all of you on my team!

I’d like to send some special thanks out to Besch – for everything, but especially for having the amazing ability to constantly make practices *almost* impossible. There were so many times I thought I wouldn’t be able to make something… and then made it. Thanks for the workouts, the encouragement, and the faith in me!

And thanks to my Masters swimmers for their lovely gifts and all the support – miss you guys already! Photo Credit Craig

No rush 🙂 I’ve done two Masters workouts this week; planning to start training in earnest again tomorrow. I just this minute finished writing down your Pi day workout to do after the Masters workout tomorrow morning.
