I’m discovering a couple of downsides to the email reminder to blog. One is that I usually check email in the morning, and that’s before I’ve done a lot of stuff. But the real one is that it just appears in the middle of my email, so I feel a lot of time pressure to write something quick and get back to working through my inbox. Although perhaps it is best that I not have a chance to be reflective. Reflective, for me, sometimes just means wordy. My loss is your gain.

So, the quick and dirty. Yesterday afternoon’s practice was 1800 LCM of how slow can you go. Then I ran errands, during which I was starving and super grumpy (although, seriously, was the cashier at Staples having a contest of slowness? … grumpiness has not abated, apparently). Then I rested for a while but couldn’t sleep. By the time I got home from coaching Masters I was ex-haus-ted. Actually, I was exhausted WHILE coaching Masters, but managed to hold it together.

This morning I swam easy again. I feel OK so far. I’ve gotta go get crap done so we can drive to WV for my parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary. So probably not a lot of Channel preparation accomplishments this weekend. Although resting, in my case, might be considered an accomplishment.
